The happiest place on earth!

We just returned from our fantastic trip to Disneyland.  We had a total blast and want to go back for more!  The girls were just wonderful little travelers.  They loved the carolsel, tea cups, small world, etc....but most of all they loved visiting all of the disney characters.

Proposition "Cancel February"

Yes, I plan on starting a petition to cancel February. I can only think of a few reasons for keeping February: Valentine's Day and the sisters retreat (when it's in that month). Reasons to cancel: everybody and their dog being sick. I swear this happens to our whole family in February. Emma has been sick twice (along with a bunch of her classmates), Gabe was a wreck a few weeks ago with a cold, I've had a cold sore and now another bad cold, Josh has been sick and now has some random skin infection. And shall I mention that mom was a wreck at the retreat (but quite entertaining on Vicadin) and I'm pretty sure the Cuthbertsons have had their round of illness. I'm just sick of it. Next January I'm dosing up on some heavy duty preventative herbs, man. All in favor, say aye. AYE!

Elizabeth the Flirt

Mom & Dad brought Liz to my sacrament meeting on Sunday while they attended a meeting at our building.  We sat in back thinking that we could avoid any trouble.  After our meeting started a family of like three tall dark and handsome men walked in and sat right behind us (with their wives).  Liz pretty much lost it.  She cranked her head....actually her whole body backwards so she could stare at them the rest of the meeting.  She tried reaching her hand back at them a few times and her drool rag was soaked by the end.  Her new Women's Day magazine was meaningless in her mind.  She was ALL twitterpated and kept smiling and blinking her eyelashes at them.  I could tell that "the wives" got a kick out of it.  Thanks Liz.  My goodness. Lauren thought we were going to have to take her out in the hall for a talk.

Shout Out to Big Brother Joe

Joe took me up to Mt. Hood for some SWEET skiing on Tuesday.  Thanks Joe!  We went to Timberline Lodge and got really lucky with great weather!  No wind, sunny & warm.  The snow could have been a little better, but I can't really complain.  The view from the top of the Magic Mile lift was unbelievable.  (We didn't have a camera to show off our great strenghts).  It has been a few years since my last ski trip so I was a bit rusty.  Joe had to wait for me most of the time.  He is like a bullet.  He tried to snow plow me and failed.  Nice try.  Oh yeah, and a special thanks to Rebecca who watched the girls for the day!

Sick

Just sending a quick update to reassure the family that we are alive. We have been cursed with the stomach flu and it hit hard! All 8, yes 8 of us had it with in a 8 day period. I am desperate for a normal life and today I'm actually cleaning up! I even left the house yesterday. Being a Mom is especially hard when the family is sick. Mom's don't get sick days. Other than that, we are doing great! The kids have no winter sports except Bryan. He has too much energy so he got signed up for basketball. He loves it. We have a busy live up for spring sports. Wish us luck. James and his dog are still doing great and haven't had any big busts lately. We loved Christmas at the Eberts and I'm dying to publish my pictures. I'm gonna try it. In the meantime, hope all is well! Love you all reb

New Year's Resollution

So one of my New Year's resolutions was going to be get up when your Dad gets up which is anywhere from 6am to 7:30. So last Monday I got up at 6:00am. By the end of the day I was coming down with something - like the tightness in my throat, congestion, etc. and so by Tuesday I was feeling rotten. So do you know what? Heck with the resolution. I will get up when I want? not that I won't get sick, but it won't be because I got up early again!!!!
