Famous Quotes from Hood to Coast 2009

I really need to share some of the funniest quotes from HTC. Our family has some twisted fun and says some crazy stuff. "Lay the Hammer Down" Sid "I quit" rebecca "Isn't this fun?" ann to rebecca "Joe, do you know where you are going?" Sid "I know where I'm going" joe "Becky" (in chicken language) Ammon "Pad Thai anyone" Ann "What was the time" Sid "Gonna drop you like a bag of wet clothes" Sid, then Ammon said it to a guy he passed "This is easy, I ran 26 last Saturday" Ann "Ammon, wake up, it's your run!" the whole van "Becky, turn your head, I'm gonna sauce right here." Ammon "I won't be seen with you in those tights Ammon" rebecca "You didn't wash my clothes?" sid "Are those your underwear on the van mirror Sid?" Ann "Joe, is he legit?" sid "I passed like 8 people" everyone but rebecca "I was passed by 8 people." rebecca "Where's the Whoppers?" Ammon "Tell me I can do this hill" Ann "That HURT" all "Where's the Advil?" all "I need sleep." all "Ammon! Pick your crap up!" all "Hi Love." Joe to Tina "Get it done!" sid "Por Favor" (espanol) Sid "Joe! Did you see that?" Sid "Are you Juicing" (pills) Sid "I owe you Joe" rebecca "Where's the bathroom." all The list could go on and on but someone said "What happens on Hood To Coast, stays at Hood to Coast." It should stay that way. reb

Hood To Coast

WE DID IT! Even with me on the team! That was one CRAZY RIDE! I have never seen anything like that in my life. Wicked FUN and chaos mixed with intense athleticism. It was amazing. Thanks a whole bunch to the best brother ever, Joe, who convinced me to do HTC, made me cry by giving me a hug when I finished, and finally, showed great kindness to me by switching my last leg with me. I still owe him enchiladas or babysitting. Thanks to Ann for the sisterly encouragement and for running with me the last 50 feet when I wanted to walk. Thanks to Sid for the crazy laughs and Ammon for cheering me on "Becky". Thanks to Sara for letting me cry to her after a hard training runs and believing in me. And thanks to the rest of you, Rachel, Tina, Angela, and Mom for encouraging me. It was a very hard journey that taught me a lot. Runners deserve immense praise for their "grrrrr". That's the ability to do super hard things when it hurts. I will remember this weekend forever! And when someone downloads pictures and emails them to me I'll post them! Thanks again and CHEERS to HTC! rebecca (retired runner with possible comeback in 2011)

The Crash of all Crashes

Here's Team Body Joe wakeboarding.  He finally got up after a few tries and then WHAM.  He pretty much had to put his head back on after the crash.  He had a bloody mouth and looked banged up.

girls

I love this picture. It's hilarious. All the older girls are staring at Brytlin like she's nuts. And she is!

summer fun

The first picture is Payge kissing the first fish she caught.  That is a long standing tradition that Uncle Joe taught my kids.  I forgot it but they all remember it and the 4 oldest kids all kissed their fish.  Thanks Joe.  If they get sick I'll call you to babysit.  FUN!

Thank You Uncle Sid and Aunt Angela

Thank you both so much for letting us have the reunion in your home town Boise and letting us use your house. It was a great weekend, full of rich memories! Just had to leave this last picture of Brytlin and the Chicken. This is Uncle Sid's Christmas present and he was so kind to share it with Brytlin. It followed her the whole reunion.
